I was born in the great Midwest-Chicago, Illinois (still one of my favorite cities). After being raised in Northern Illinois; my parents, Sharon and Larry Fox decided to move my sister Sharry and me to warmer weather in 1980. The destination was and still is beautiful, Arizona. I attended high school at Peoria High (Peoria, Arizona not to be confused with Peoria, Illinois). High school was a blast and I am still proud to be a Panther. I went on to attend the University of Arizona where I graduated with a pre-medical degree of nutritional science. Balancing a full class load and working 35 hours a week was the norm. I was always heavily involved and I am still a strong Wildcat fan today!
After graduation I was hired as a pharmaceutical sales representative with Parke-Davis. I learned a lot about sales in a professional environment. Most importantly, this is where I met my beautiful wife Kris, and my wonderful daughter, Alex. Being a husband and becoming a father wasn't easy, but the rewards of being a happy husband and proud father greatly justify the efforts. I love my family and our family includes our "four leggers", (dogs) Zin and Crista. Sometimes I think they run the house, but they know they run the house.
After selling pharmaceuticals, I decided to move to medical equipment sales with HHI. I was the first rep they ever had in Arizona and I got a true taste for developing my own business. Their training consisted of about one day in New Jersey and a pat on the back. Talk about 'sink or swim!' Thank God mom made go to swimming lessons. Swimming and swimming fast was the option. I was fortunate to become Rookie of the Year and followed up later with Sales Representative of the Year. So like most companies, they slow you down and promote you. Talk about rewarding! I had the privilege to work along with and manage some of the greatest people you could ever have the pleasure to know. I was promoted through the ranks to Vice President of Sales-Western USA. I enjoyed the experience, yet it was time to fuel my desire to begin my own business based upon principles I knew to be true.
First, everyone deserves first class treatment. Whether someone is a CEO or a food server, they will be treated with respect and professionalism. Second, the highest integrity and ethics will always be the norm. Finally, maintain balance in life.
My role model is Leonardo da Vinci, quite possibly the most intelligent and talented person to ever live. I enjoy a wide range of interests such as; reading, sports (pro, college, high school), triathlons, weight training, wine, arts, fashion, cooking, dining out and flat out entertaining. I have an insatiable appetite for learning, and that keeps my curiosity and creativity alive!
I have always maintained my loyalty and commitment to my alma mater, the University of Arizona. Currently I am proud to serve on the National Board of Directors for the Alumni Association. I assist in student recruitment, Maricopa County activities, and the ongoing process of monitoring the Association's Strategic Plan with respect to the goals of the University of Arizona and higher education. As a Wildcat alum, my love for 'red' has spilled right over to the color for this team.
I chose real estate because it's dynamic, ever changing and I could help people with one of the biggest purchase/investment decisions of their life. So here I am, along with TEAM RED HOT, at your service. I welcome the privilege of working with you today and throughout the future.
